Well, that can be difficult. I'm not sure who you are referring to, but the best way, and legal way, would be to find 3 qualified people to take their place. And when the next election comes up, campaign with them to get them on the ballot and to get them elected. Too often, in small towns, people vote for their friends and relatives, even though they may not be the best qualified for the job. Good Luck!

Theres got to be a better way, listen the one council man bernie Still thinks he's a police officer, all he does is follow the Boro police car around town and adds stress to the current police officer. I have talked to several Police Departments around the area and they laugh at our current situation. The officer made a arrest of some young kids underage drinking, one of the other councilmen saw this and told people that they were having parties at the boro office and asked a resident to take pictures. They run to another local departments and tell the other police officers these rumors and in turn who knows if the our boro officer ever needs back up will they assist him. Bottom line is we have a large group that are getting ready to move and get the three stooges out of office and yea we have real people without personal agendas ready to move in to the place and get North Irwin on the right track. I've only told you a couple of issues there are so many more. Anyone who lives in the Boro of North Irwin need to come this Monday to the meeting, get there early please and see the freak show

Your x-cops might be working on a "Cold Case". If they are, they need to do it on their own time and not yours. Copies can be made of their old files and they can work at home-which they probably are doing anyway.

Cold cases usually have good results, one I'm very familiar with is the "Jon Bonnet Ramsey" murder. I sent what I knew to the FBI in Greensburg and was referred to their Charleroi office. Here was when I lost all faith in our FBI!

The FBI (sic) advertised saying they would pay $100,000 for any information on the Ramsey case. Did I get anything out of it, you ask? NO. They also never investigated the "Red Mayfia", which is connected to the Communist Government, Hollywood and illegal Oil. I have lived here for 31 years this august. The council has been ok up until recently. Lots of power struggles, for what?? 3 clowns on the board Bernie, Bo, and Ostrom, all think that they can force NI officer out. They are badly mistaken, Bernie was a major joke for years, the kids up here as well as residents have no respect for him. As far as Bo and Ostrom, they are jokes also. Another thing, Ed Howley with his screwed up sidewalk up there better get fixed before he starts more crap with ordinances. They better leave Pete alone, he definately has a law suit if they dont stop there nonscense. He could sue the boro, plus file charges to each of them. If he does,,,, way to go pete... This date is etched in my mind the same as 9/11/01 is. My son served in Kuwait and the United States after being discharged in Indiana and being stationed at the "911" Air Force Reserve Wing. The rest of us scratched out a life living in Ohio. We were all gone from North Huntingdon, never to return.

On 3/13/92 I was taken to the “Caucus Meeting Room” where the Magnificent Seven meet prior to their regular meeting, that the public attends.

Acting Chief Henaghan requested I go with him to a meeting. As we began walking up the stairs I asked him why we were doing this. His reply, “it’s to late for that now, it’s over”. (what was over?) I sure soon found out.

At the meeting was AFSCME local 211 President Bill Stouffer, substitute Union Stewart Lavonne Shields, and me.

Conclusion was, I was to keep an appointment that “they” made with a “Police testing psychologist” in Pittsburgh. Secondly I was told by Acting Chief Henaghan I could leave at the end of the meeting or the end of the working day. I left immediately, leaving behind what belongings I had in my drawer.

‘First of all I was not a police officer then or ever. The test given me was license plates, traffic violations, criminal violations and so on. According to the letter I received I passed the test. Yet I was denied returning to work over and over, after that fateful day of March 13, 1992. I was told by Chuck Henaghan that he received the same letter I did!! That was another shock about 3 weeks later.

What does any of this have to do with North Irwin do you think? I’m sure every police officer in the area knew why, who, and what happened, I never doubted that. If I can help you in North Irwin I sure will. I know Lenny Santmeyer, Bo Anthony, and Bernie Reynolds. Probably others I just don't remember.

For those of you who think Pete is so great.........Talk to the chief of police in Murrysville or the the girl who's cival rights he violated recently. He sits in front of one of the only business that brings in tax money to the Boro and intimadates the patrons. And why is a police car that was not suitable for use in North Irwin, perfectly fine for use in Penn Boro where he also works part-time? He is a part-time police officer who is therefore an at-will employee who has no recourse against North Irwin Council Boro.
Forgot one thing....talk to the man who he pointed his taser at in front of his daughter and no one was arrested.

Hey look finally someone that must have been there for all of those incidents you mentioned. Get your facts straight and not from the guy that last bought you a beer, i'd love to know the business your talking about. I'm not even going to entertain responding to your stupid remarks, so i suggest you go back to your can of bud and your bar room politics, we have enough documented proof that the residents are in support of our police officer. And to think this all started because the son of a counsilman , Do you know him???? lol

Congrats to Kim, John Mc, Ken and Gordon,,, I am so pleased that the council will become fair and balanced. Lets please not get into a battle on Petes duties, he has arresting powers, which Bernie didnt. He was grandfathered in the position. Maybe these stupid power battles can cease and get some much needed work done in the boro that can be positive for all the residents. He knows what is allowed and what is not when he is stablizing the situation. I live on top of the hill and the poor people that for months and months have had sand bags in front of their homes, that is totally sinful. Those are the important issues that need addressed. If I was one of the owners, I am sorry, I dont have the patience to wait for the Boro to decide what to do. I would be moving heaven and earth to find a resolution. Lets get back to real business, grow up and be adults and discuss issues calmly.. There are alot of good people on the council that are true leaders.

I live on the sandbag street. It makes the entire street look horrible. I've spoken to those people with the sandbags several times. Believe me they are moving heaven and earth. They have battled this since 2002 they told me. I offered assistance but there is nothing I can do except vote all of council out when they come up for re-election. Council has done nothing except upset them and bring sandbags. I feel terrible for them. They have a little boy and they can't even get their stroller out of the driveway or use their garage. It is sinful. They have no money left to fix anything. They told me the damage from the boro's water damage in their home is over $8000 which they took out a loan to pay for. Also they tried to get an attorney but ran out of money. I told them to go to the DEP but they told me they have contacted everyone, even Gov Rendell's office and no one cares expecially north irwin boro council. It's such a shame, how they live when it rains is just sad when this is totally preventable.
