Effective January 29, 2007 all motorists in Pennsylvania MUST turn on their headlights whenever they use their windshield wipers in inclement weather. This new law applies when wipers are fully on or in intermittent mode. Violators will be fined $25 but fees/other costs will increase the amount to $100.  read more »

Friday, December 8th from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A tour of eight homes in the Norwin area is being offered at the 10th annual Norwin Historical Society’s Homes for the Holidays. The event is Saturday, Dec. 2, from 3:30 to 8 p.m., beginning at Norwin Public Library, Caruthers Lane, Irwin. Tickets, limited to 500, are $15 and can be purchased at the Norwin Public Library on Caruthers Lane, Norwin Chamber of Commerce and Colonial Grille, both along Main Street downtown Irwin.  read more »

The Relay For Life of Norwin Kick-off celebration will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, December 1, 2006, at Covenant Hall, Irwin’s Center for the Arts, 4th and Maple Streets, in downtown Irwin.
