Here Comes Santa! - Irwin Light-Up Night Parade & Festivities!

Irwin will hold its annual holiday Light-Up Night festivities on Thursday, November 16, 2006!

Beginning at 4:45 p.m., stage performances in the parking lot at Third and Main streets (by Irwin Bank & Trust) will feature the Norwin Barbershop Quartet, Dinah Mason's dance students, Queen of Angels Show Choir, Janet's School of Dance, and New Hope Children's Choir. The Pastels will perform at the Galleria Hair Salon, at 434 Main St., from 5 to 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m. Mayor Dan Rose and honored military veterans will conduct the traditional lighting of the Irwin Christmas tree at the corner of Third and Main streets. After the tree lighting, the holiday parade will begin at Second Street, proceed down Main Street, and end in Irwin Park.

Santa Claus will then greet youngsters in the lobby of Irwin Bank on Main Street.

Norwin Show Choir will perform at Covenant Hall, Fourth and Maple Streets, at 7:30 p.m.

Georgeo "Big Daddy G" Recelle and sidekick Gary Ed will spin Christmas Oldies throughout the evening.

Off-site parking shuttles will be available from Norwin Hill Shopping Center to Sixth and Main streets from 4:30-5:30 p.m., with return trips from 7:45-9:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Irwin Business and Professional Association in cooperation with the Borough of Irwin, and Gold Sponsors Irwin Bank and Trust, Kenny Ross Chevrolet and Duncan Financial.
