We still need funds to cover the cost of the truck rental and hotel accommodations and meal expenses for the wonderful crew members who will be driving the Taffeta set, props, and wardrobe 990 miles to Lincoln, Nebraska. We are near our goal, but not there yet, and we leave in just 17 days!!!!!

PLEASE HELP by coming tonight, making donations, bringing family and friends to the show. I challenged the local TV stations and newspapers to attend and cover the performance. Senator Bob Regola's office will be presenting citations to the performers tonight, praising them for winning the state competition and for proudly representing Pennsylvania in less than three weeks.

While visiting the Daily Courier website, I was looking for email contact information. Lo-and-behold, under their "Send us your news" link, I found five news categories to select from:

Hmmm. Tough choice. Er, umm, NO choice. Thanks bunches.

Now, to be fair, the Daily Courier has printed previous articles about the Taffetas. But not recently enough to help us out. Certainly NONE of the local papers have given The Taffetas a front-page splash except for back in late November (Norwin Star), right before the state competition in Connellsville. BEFORE they won. What happened to being interested in them WINNING?!?!?

And as for the Trib... I say show me the print.

As for WTAE-TV, KDKA, and WPXI, nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zip. A big ZERO.

But I'm afraid that now is already too late to help our cause.

PROVE ME WRONG, MEDIA PEOPLE!!!!! Let me see you there and I'll blog about your wonderfulness in here!!!!!

The musical comedy "The Taffetas" is the deliciously funny story of a classic 1950s all-girl singing group getting their first big break on TV! Audiences will be rolling in the aisles and tapping their toes as the charming Taffetas perform their precision harmonies and execute delightfully sweet choreography. They interact with the audience between songs, sharing their steps up the show-biz ladder that got them to where they are today. They even have a segment called "Taffeta Chatter" where they answer questions submitted by the audience! The Taffetas perform some of the 1950s' greatest hits including: Johnny Angel, Where the Boys Are, Little Jimmy Brown, Sha-Boom, Two-Way Street, You belong to Me, Lollipop, Sincerely, Little Darlin', and many, many more!
