Some Irwin residents object to rezoning plan

Neighbors living near a closed Irwin school told council they objected to the proposed overlay district for a two-block area, which would include the building. At the heart of the proposed rezoning along Pennsylvania Avenue is the school, which is under a $230,000 sales agreement with a physician who wants to turn the building into a personal care home.

A personal care home sounds fine with me. After all it could be a methadone clinic or worse.
