Filippino-Conwell

Paula A. Filippino and Gary L. Conwell Jr. were united in marriage on July 21, 2007, at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church in Monroeville.

The bride is the daughter of David and Denise Filippino of Penn Hills. She received her bachelor of science degree from Clarion University.

Paula is employed as a secretary at UPMC in Oakland.

The groom is the son of Joann Conwell of Penn Hills. He received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Robert Morris University.

Gary is employed as a manager for Hoss's Corp. in Moon Township.

The Rev. David Cillo officiated the ceremony.

Maid of honor was Gina Filippino, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michelle Dougherty and Tonya Zatko, friends of the bride; and Jackie Conwell, sister of the bride.

Best man was Chad Llewellyn, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were David Filippino, brother of the bride; Christopher Mascaro, cousin of the groom; and Timothy Ross, friend of the groom.

The couple spent their honeymoon cruising the Hawaiian Islands.

They live in Pittsburgh.

Everly-Miller

Carol Everly of Carmel, Ind., and Christopher Miller of Pittsburgh were united in marriage on June 16, 2007, at Carmel United Methodist Church in Carmel.

The groom is the son of William and Christine Miller of Penn Hills. He is a graduate of Penn State University, where he received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He received a master of business administration degree from Indiana Universi-ty.

William is employed by BorgWarner Turbo Systems.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Mary Everly of Carmel, Ind. She is a graduate of Indiana University, where she received her bachelor of science degree in journalism.

Carol is a teacher in Asheville High School in North Carolina.

Maid of honor was Kathy Everly, cousin of the bride. Best man was Andrew Miller, brother of the groom.

The couple honeymooned in Bar Harbor, Maine. They now live in Asheville, N.C.

Robertson-Sloane

Kelly Robertson and Justin Sloane, both of Oakmont, were united in marriage on Oct. 27, 2007.

The bride is the daughter of David and Christine Robertson of Oakmont. She is a graduate of Riverview High School and Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburgh, where she received a doctorate in chemistry.

The groom is the son of Mike and Janice Sloane of Penn Hills.

He is a graduate of Plum High School and Point Park University, where he received his master of business administration degree.
