Norwin Aqua Club members participated in an AMS B Championship meet at South Park on Feb. 16 and 17.
Below are top-three place winners:
Ages 6-10 Division: Sonnet Myers, 10, second in 100 IM; Hannah Rusinko, 9, first in 50 back and 100 free, third in 200 free; Taylor Shirley, 10, first in 50 free, second in 50 fly; Christopher Jasiewicz, 9, second in 50 back.
Ages 11-12 Division: Mark Patterson, 11, second in IM.
Ages 13 and older: Darian Baker, 13, first in 200 IM, second in 200 free; Jenna Farina, 14, first in 100 breast, third in 200 fly; Jenna Kuhn, 13, second in 100 back and 200 back; Karly Painter, 14, second in 50 and 100 free; Sarah Waszyn, 14, second in 200 breast; Joe Kuhn, 15, second in 100 back and 200 IM.
Relays that finished first: girls 6- to 10-year-old 200 freestyle (S. Krevokuch, S. Myers, H. Rusinko, T. Shirley), girls 13 and older 200 medley (J. Kuhn, K. Painter, S. Waszyn, D. Baker) and girls 6- to 10-years-old 200 medley (H. Rusinko, S. Myers, T. Shirley, S. Krevokuch).
Bishop Bosco hoops
The Bishop Bosco fourth-grade boys basketball team defeated St. Aquinas, 22-21, on Feb. 13. Despite scoring only one point in the fourth quarter, the Rams were able to hang on for the victory.
Tyler White led Bishop Bosco with seven points, while Dante Rizzo chipped in five.
n The Bishop Bosco Red fourth-grade basketball team concluded its regular season with a 27-13 victory over St. Gertrude on Feb. 19.
Justin Long and Dante Rizzo led the attack for the Rams with eight points each.
PAL Jr. Legion
All baseball players living in the Norwin School District between the ages of 13 and 15 (born on or after 04/30/92) are invited to register for the Westmoreland County defending champion Norwin PAL Junior Legion baseball team.
Registrations will be held upstairs in the Police Athletic League executive board room located at 1 Bridge St., North Huntingdon, on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.
Once registrations are completed, players will be notified of the dates and times of tryouts.
