Immaculate Conception Parish is hosting its first Burger Bash of the season on April 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Second and Oak streets.

The Almost Famous Corner Burger, with or without secret-recipe onions, is still only $2. Chips and beverages also are available for purchase.

Christian rock

One Size, a Christian rock band, will perform on April 12, beginning at 7 p.m., in Mars Hill Baptist Church, along Sutersville--Mars Hill Road in rural Irwin. All are invited.

Bingo delight

The doors open for a spring bingo at 5 p.m. on April 23 in St. Barbara Catholic Church's social hall, Harrison City.

Tickets are $8. Call 724-744-7899 to purchase a ticket good for cash prizes and door prizes and a luncheon plate with dessert. And bingo, of course.

Spaghetti dinner

A spaghetti dinner will be offered April 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at West Hempfield Presbyterian Church.

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 3 to 12. Proceeds will benefit Haitian ministries.

The church is at 8 West Hempfield Drive, off Arona Road in Irwin.

Helping out

The Spring Gathering of Presbyterian Women of Redstone Presbytery will meet on April 12, at West Hempfield Presbyterian Church in Irwin from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The mission project this year is collecting children's shoes and socks.
