My understand is, if we can get 10% of the community to request there service they would have to come into the area. I personally don't want he Direct TV version. I'm not sure if there is something have a contract with North Huntingdon, but I've heard rumors. Does anyone know for sure?

I like competion myself, you can get better pricing and have a choice.

and I live in NHT as well as many of my neighbors. Are you talking about FIOS?

I'd rather have FiOS over either DSL or Cable... more reliable and more consistent speed...

The question does not make any sense. "Verizon DSL in there neighbor?"

I think the writer was trying to ask if YOU would like the option OF HAVING Verizon DSL in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. The question is unintelligible because of the grammar.

I live in Ardara and would LOVE the opportunity to have Verizon DSL but we are too far from the hub. I work from home on-line and have had nothing but grief from Comcast due to their overloading of our box (currently set up for 4 homes but there are 7 homes on it, every single line is split except for mine). We have no other choice than Comcast and they know it.

If verizon brings FIOS then thats what you want. DSL, unpredictable usualy and no better than Cable, but verizons FIOS(i had it when i lived in Plum) is blazing fast, and consistant always. If you just check email and read a website here and there, then its not a big difference, but if you do much downloading, uploading, or gaming then its night and day difference.

I was told by Verizon that if we get 10% of the community requesting the service then they would have to come in. Does anyone know what our population is in NHT? Is anyone good at petitions?

We should do it. I'm tired of the relationship that Comcast and NHT have, blocking our choice to FIOS.

According to Verizon, my NH address is not eligible for Verizon DSL service. But Speakeasy can provide DSL with a maximum of 1.5M/384 line speed. Its not FIOS, but its also not Comcast.

Speakeasy has excellent telephone/email customer service. No, I don't work for them, but I have been a happy customer for several years.
