This month, fourth-graders at Sheridan Terrace sat down to answer a question: If money were no object, what would you like to buy your mother for Mother's Day?
Ashton Baker: I would buy my Granny for Mother's Day a lot of jewels from A to Z like aquamarine to turquoise, and her birthstone, sapphires. Second, I'd give her a gift certificate so she can buy what- ever she wants with $100,000, and a big mansion with butlers and maids so Grandma can relax while butlers do outside work and maids spring clean.
Michael Bazala: I would buy my mom a new bigger dance school because she has a little dance school now. I would also buy her a bubble to put my little brother in because he cries all the time. I would also buy my mom a maid to clean and cook, because she is so busy.
Alan Carr: I would buy mommy a box of chocolates because sometimes you have to give your mom chocolates. And I will also make my mommy a drawing to be nice. It is a picture of me and my mommy.
Jenna Chuprinko: I would buy my mom for Mother's Day a Starbucks gift card because my mother loves coffee. I would also buy her a "Fashion Bug" store because she is really into fashion, and a flat-screen TV because she would like to watch a huge TV. Next, I would buy her a life-time supply of "Fritos" and she would like to eat them in front of the TV.
Jenna Cole: For Mother's Day I would buy my mom a Mustang because she would be able to ride in style. Another thing I would buy is a spa treatment so she can relax from all the work in the house. The last thing I would get my mom for Mother's Day would be a puppy so it can sleep with her in bed and she can name it whatever she wants.
Isabel DiBiase: I would buy my mom the world's largest mansion. If I had leftover money, I would also buy her a bigger and better place for her salon.
Emily Henderson: One thing I would buy my mom for Mother's Day is a Mustang and her own company. The last thing I would buy for her is a vacation house in Germany because she needs time off and she is part German.
Josh Mashoney: What I would get my mother for Mother's Day is flowers because she thinks they're pretty. Second, I would buy chocolates because she's a fan of it. Last I would buy her, her own bus because she likes driving one, likes the color and drives one for her job.
Nathan Maywood: One thing I would buy my mom is a new car with three-section air conditioner because our old car doesn't work well, and she has always wanted one. It would also have two portable DVD players, a pull-up table, and storage space under the seat so she could flip the seats into the storage in the floor to make more room.
Sara Merritt: I would buy my mommy butlers and maids, a professional cook, a new laundry machine, more storage space, a Jacuzzi, a big screen TV, and an elevator. Our laundry machine floods the basement. She could use an elevator so she won't have to walk up the steps. The final thing I would buy her is a personal chiropractor, so she doesn't have to drive there then wait for her appointment.
Darian Morgan: For Mother's Day, I would buy my mom a Mustang so she can have the car she wants. Another thing I would buy is a house on the beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware, because my mom always wants a house on the beach.
Samantha Neal: I would like to buy my mom a beach because she likes tropical places. I would also like to buy her a movie theater, because it's nice and serene, also it is a place where a family can be together. The last thing is love you can't buy love but I can give it together.
Nicholas Pinkerton: I would like to buy my mom a diamond necklace and maybe even her own jewelry store, and a restaurant so we can sell food. I would buy her a gourmet chef and a hockey team, and a zoo so she can play with the animals.
Hannah Raling: I would get my mom the most special gift she always wanted and that would be a new car. I would get her a Wii, so could play and be active. I would get her a trampoline, so she could lose weight on it like she has been wanting to, and a pool.
Christopher Riggleman: I would buy my mom a Siamese cat, which she always wanted. Also I would get the Steeler Polamalu to meet my mom by paying him a ton of money, so my mom would be friends with a Steeler.
Haley Schade: For Mother's Day, I would get my mom clothes because she wants a new wardrobe, a hot tub so she can relax, a car because she wants a new one, and jewelry so she has new accessories. I would also buy her a new kitchen because she deserves it, new siding on our house because she thinks it would look better, and new furniture for her bedroom. I would buy my mom all of these things because I love her and it is all fit for her.
Eric Schade- For Mother's Day, I would buy my mom a lot of dolphin things, like a dolphin lamp, necklace, poster and a phone. I would also buy her a boat ride to go watch dolphins in the ocean.
Rachel Shemony- I would buy my mom a bright red convertible and a ring that has my dad's, my brother's and my birthstone on it so she can think of us when we are at school or work. I would also get her a margarita maker, and a day at the spa to get her nails done and just relax. Two other things I would get her are a Chihuahua and a free trip to Hawaii because she really wants to go.
Chance Steinkopf- I would buy my mom a big silver S.U.V. so she could have room in the car. A flat screen TV, and a second house in Hawaii with a huge garden and pool.
Brandon Vickers- For Mother's Day, I would buy my mom a mansion. So we could have a nice house, a diamond bracelet, diamond necklace and precious gems so she could wear them, and an in ground pool so we could have a deep end.
Nicholas White- For Mother's Day, I would buy my mom a pair of diamond earrings, and lots of jewelry. I would buy her a Porsche because she always wanted a nice, fast car.
Jessica Wunderley- For Mother's Day, I would get my mom a diamond ring with matching earrings, necklace, and a bracelet, a nice fancy outfit, her favorite flowers (tan tulips), and a card that sings a certain song, "Best friends" by Aqua. In the card there would be a pass to get me to be quiet for 25 minutes! What a present! Happy Mother's Day!
