Norwin High School will present its spring choral festival today, Thursday, and Sunday.

Tonight's concert at 7:30 p.m. will feature the Norwin High School ninth-grade chorus.

Sunday's concert will start at 2 p.m. and will feature the Norwin High School Choir, Show Choir and Select Choir. Musicians from the Norwin High School Band and Orchestra also will participate.

Both performances will be held in the Norwin High School auditorium.

Summer kickoff

North Huntingdon Township's Summer Kickoff will start at noon May 24 at Oak Hollow Park.

From noon to 5 p.m., will be "Kids Safety Day," with a free lunch for children.

The second annual Battle of the Barrels competition will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., followed by the showing of "The Bee Movie" at nightfall. After the movie, a Zambelli Fireworks Internationale display will finish off the evening.

Movies in the park

North Huntingdon Township will kick off its summer Movies in the Park series on May 24 with a showing of "The Bee Movie" at Oak Hollow Park.

Upcoming movies are: "We Are Marshall," June 13 at Oak Hollow Park; "Evan Almighty," June 27 at Lions Park; and "Singin' In the Rain," July 11 at Oak Hollow Park.

All movies are free and begin at nightfall.
