Norwin team headed to Cooperstown tourney

The 12-year-old Norwin Knights have been selected to play in the Cooperstown Dreams Park and American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament starting this Saturday in Cooperstown, N.Y.

In addition to competing against 96 teams from around the country, members of the Norwin Knights will be enshrined in the prestigious American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame.

In addition to the Knights going to Cooperstown this month, they have played in tournaments in Cleveland, Ohio; Aberdeen, Md.; Charleroi; Rehoboth Beach, Del.; Cannonsburg; Youngstown, Ohio; and Morgantown, W.Va.

The Knights have had a successful season with an overall record of 14-8 and also a winning record in tournament play.

The Knights also finished in second place in both the RBI Redwing Tournament in Charleroi.

They also took second in the Diamond Dawg tournament in Cannonsburg.
