Mark T. Skarzynski
Former Claims Manager
Mark T. Skarzynski, 48, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Jan. 12, 2008, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg.
Born Aug. 31, 1959, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Vivian Skarzynski Dee of Jeannette and the late David Skarzynski.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Mark Skarzynski Jr. of Elizabeth Township; a daughter, Christine Skarzynski of McKeesport; brother David Skarzynski of North Huntingdon; a niece, Grace; and stepbrothers, Philip and David Dee.
Friends were received at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, North Huntingdon. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Huntington's Foundation.
Harriet Renner
Great-grandmother
Harriet May Burris Renner, 97, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Churchill, died Jan. 6, 2008.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Edwin Renner; and a brother, Clarence "Bus" Burris.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Mohan of Monroeville, Carol (Herbert) Estrada of Annapolis, Md., Audrey (James) Taylor of New Florence and Donna (Robert) Cohn of North Huntingdon; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Jobe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Monroeville.

Margaret Gorman
Great-grandmother
Margaret L. Lang Gorman, 91, of North Huntingdon, died Jan. 9, 2008.
Born May 27, 1916, in East McKeesport, she was a daughter of Charles and Agnes Hogue Lang.
Mrs. Gorman was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers, the Emerald Club and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gorman; a great-granddaughter, Briana Mantzouranis; and three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are five children, Patricia Ohm and her husband, Robert, of Eldersburg, Md., John Gorman and his wife, Marlene, of North Huntingdon, Catherine Nase and her husband, Wayne, of North Huntingdon, Timothy Gorman and his wife, Susan, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kevin Gorman and his wife, Monica, of Medina, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Joseph F. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Irwin. Mass of Christian Burial was in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon.
Interment was at Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
John Crall
Retired schoolteacher
John R. Crall, 87, of North Huntingdon, died Jan. 14, 2008, at Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon.
Born Sept. 19, 1920, in McKeesport, he was a retired schoolteacher from Taylor Alderdice High School and the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Mr. Crall formerly was employed at the Monroeville Saab dealership. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Betty Crall; and a brother, Frank Crall.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Crall; his children, Michael (Dee) Crall of Bell Canyon, Calif., Stephanie (Robert) Martin of Hamlin, W.Va., and Lisa (Mitch) Goldstein of Closter, N.J.; stepsons, Benny (Michelle) Davis of Irwin and Richard (Sue) Peters of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, North Huntingdon. A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by interment at Restland Memorial Cemetery.
Alfred Olson
Tool and die maker
Alfred C. Olson Sr., 81, of Monroeville, died Jan. 13, 2008.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Olson was a retired tool and die maker with 44 years of service with Union Switch and Signal.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Daw Olson; daughters, Pamela Waldsmith and her husband, Bill, of North Huntingdon and Dorothy Campbell and her husband, Britt, of Monroeville; daughter-in-law, Kyle Olson; sister, Betty Swope of Irwin; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her son, Alfred Olson, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Jobe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Monroeville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Bernadette Parish, Monroeville.
Interment with military honors will follow at Restland Memorial Cemetery.
