Robert J. Hreha
of North Huntingdon
Robert J. Hreha, 72, of North Huntingdon, died March 23, 2008, at Briarcliff Pavilion, North Huntingdon.
Born July 26, 1935, in North Braddock, he was a son of John and Mary Pavlick Hreha.
He is survived by his wife, Johanna Pavur Hreha; son, Robert Hreha and his wife, Gabriella, of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Constance Hreha of Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren, John, Peter and Catherine Sassano, and John Paul Hreha; two sisters, Florence Celigoi and Arlene DeRubbo; and a brother, George Hreha.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at James W. Shirley Funeral Home Inc., North Huntingdon. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Agnes Church, followed by interment at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
Annette Marsico
School library volunteer
Annette Lakatta Marsico, 75, of North Huntingdon, died March 19, 2008, in UPMC McKeesport.
Born May 29, 1932, in Uniontown, she was a daughter of Michael and Anna Lakatta.
Mrs. Marsico was at one time a volunteer for the Norwin school library and was a former Scout leader in the Norwin area. She was a longtime member of Church of the Immaculate Conception in Irwin and a recent member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lakatta; and a sister, Eleanor DiCassio.
Surviving are her husband of more than 50 years, Gabe Marsico; two children, Tracey Marsico of North Huntingdon, David Marsico and his wife, Valerie, of North Huntingdon; and two granddaughters, Heather and Nichole Marsico.
Friends were received at Joseph F. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Irwin. Mass of Christian Burial was in Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Kenneth Daley
Accountant
Kenneth J. Daley, 59, of Pittsburgh, died March 17, 2008, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born March 28, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was an accountant with Rennekamp Lumber in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his mother, Helen Daley Blazer of Pittsburgh; a son, Eric Daley and his wife, Darlene, of North Huntingdon; and two grandchildren, Connor and Shannon.
His brother, Donald Daley, preceded him in death.
A memorial service was held at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, North Huntingdon, with the Rev. Rick Kosisko officiating.
Donna Bowers Receptionist
Donna M. Puz Bowers, 61, of Adamsburg, died March 19, 2008, at Mercy Jeannette Hospital.
Born June 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of David Puz of Scranton and the late Anna Jane Puz.
Before her retirement, she was employed as a receptionist for Cordia Commons Assisted Living in North Huntingdon and was at one time employed by Threshold of Greensburg. Mrs. Bowers loved making crafts and going to craft shows. She enjoyed the sunshine, the beach and swimming. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of North Huntingdon.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Bow-ers; a son, James C. Bowers; and a brother, Daniel Puz.
She is also survived by a daughter, Beth Ann Jogun and her husband, Jason, of Jeannette; grandson, Sebas-tian Michael Bowers; and a brother, David Puz.
Friends were received at Joseph F. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Irwin. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Jeannette. Memorial donations are suggested to PKD Foundation, in care of Judi Herr, 5037 Northfields Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
Donald Petro
Welder
Donald W. Petro, 78, of North Huntingdon, died March 22, 2008.
Born Oct. 23, 1929, in McKeesport, he was a son of John and Margaret Bugan Petro.
Before his retirement, he was employed for 17 years by Premco in McKeesport as a welder. Mr. Petro was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon.
He is survived by sons, Thomas (Patricia), Paul (Debbie), Jeffrey (Jackie), William and David (Karen) Petro, all of North Huntingdon; a daughter, Mary (David) Speer of Greensburg; three brothers, Thomas, John and James Petro; a sister, Dolly Brenick; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Petro; and his son, Donald Petro.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in James W. Shirley Funeral Home Inc., North Huntingdon. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or American Breast Cancer Association.
Mark Yanko
Machinist
Mark Alan Yanko, 48, of Trafford, died March 21, 2008.
Born Jan. 6, 1960, in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of Josephine Frander Yanko of Delmont and the late John Yanko.
He was a machinist with Stellar Precision Components, Jeannette.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Stephen (Rose Mary) Yanko of Saltsburg and Robert (Karen) Yanko of Delmont; sisters, Kathy (Blaine) Jacoby of Export and Michelle (Reggie) Lee of Washington state; and his dog, Desperado.
There was no visitation. A graveside service and interment was at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Vaia Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Brooks
Technical assistant for Bell
Kenneth M. Brooks, 84, of North Huntingdon, died March 22, 2008, in Mercy Jeannette Hospital.
Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of William Brooks and Ivy Bell McClelland Brooks Beese.
He was a retired technical assistant for Bell Telephone with 35 years of service and was a life member of Telecom Pioneers. Mr. Brooks was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member and former deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, and enjoyed woodworking and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Beese; his wife, Virginia Shafer Brooks on May 18, 2007; and a granddaughter, Dacia Drylie.
Surviving are his daughters, Valerie Condron, Leslie Brooks and Debbie Brooks, all of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Angie Free, Jolene and Joshua Drylie, and Nathan Ryan and Megan Condron; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Jane Holliday.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, at William Snyder Funeral Home, Irwin, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Ronald Wakeman officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
Keith Choby
Service technician
Keith E. Choby, 52, of Hempfield Township, died March 23, 2008.
Born Sept. 6, 1955, in Homestead, he was the son of Alma Crawford Choby of Irwin and the late Edward James Choby.
He was employed as a senior service technician at Steris Corp. Mr. Choby was a member of Norwin Christian Church in North Huntingdon.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Michele Seech Choby; five children, Nate, Collin, Samuel, Derek and Mycah Choby, all at home; brothers, Scott Choby of North Huntingdon and Eric Choby of Concord, Ohio; sisters, Karen Kneisley of Perry, Ohio, and Beth Long of Bakersfield, Calif.; and his father- and mother-in-law, Ruth and Ray Seech.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Vincent V. Rodgers Funeral Home, Irwin. A service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Norwin Christian Church with the Rev. Edward Gratton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family.
