Weddings for March 26, 2008
SLAFKA-MILLER
Sherri Marie Slafka of Irwin and Alexander Ray Miller of Jeannette were united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2007, at East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Sandra Slafka of Irwin.
Sherri is employed as a sales and marketing coordinator at Steelcoast Creative in Pittsburgh.
Alexander is employed as a financial analyst at MEDRAD in Indianola.
Maid of honor was Glenna Slafka, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Lazar and Kristan Kohley.
Best man was Michael Montgomery, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Daryl Davis and Daniel Ockree.
The reception was held at LeMont Restaurant.
The couple honeymooned in Myrtle Beach, S. C. They reside in Pittsburgh.
LOVE-SENICA
Melissa Love and David Senica, both of North Huntingdon, were united in marriage on Oct. 13, 2007, at Zion's Lutheran Church in Harrison City.
The bride is the daughter of Bertha and John Love of East McKeesport. She is the owner of the Ultimate Clean in North Huntingdon.
The groom is the son of Adela and Frank Senica of North Huntingdon. He is employed as a shopping supervisor at LP Aero Plastics in Jeannette.
Maid of honor was Christina Love, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melanie Munn, sister of the bride.
Flower girl was Brittney Love, daughter of the bride.
Best men was John Senica, brother of the groom.
Groomsman was Christopher, son of the groom.
NORMAN-AVITZUR
Heather Norman and Michael Avitzur were united in marriage on Oct. 7, 2007, at Club Longwood in Brookline, Maine.
The bride is the daughter of Mindy and Martin Norman of Monroeville. She is employed as an epidemiologist with United Health in Boston.
The groom is the son of Susan Rose of Guilderland, N.Y., and the late Boza Avitzur. He is an attorney with the Senate in Boston.
Michael successfully competed twice on the game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."
The couple reside in Newton, Maine.
